On this little known holiday...

I wish each and every one of you (that's BOTH my readers) a 'Happy Hannah's 1/2 Birthday'.

We awoke this morning to Hannah singing, 'Happy 1/2 birthday to me...happy 1/2 birthday to me'.

The Dad and I were teasing her this morning asking why school hadn't been canceled, and wondering if the mail would be delivered. As we were teasing, she got a sad look on her face, so we thanked her for having a 1/2 birthday so we could have a reason to tease her.

I felt kind-of guilty all day for teasing her, so to make up for it, we made a cake to celebrate how wonderful she is. She is a little firecracker and we just love her!

Happy 1/2 birthday, Hannah! Thanks for giving us a reason to eat cake!

From your number 1, most loyal commentor----Happy halfsies Hannah.

Is the other half of the cake in the freezer for the next six months?

You are so good to celebrate this momentous occasion by baking. You are awesome!

Love that cake! Don't we all need more times to celebrate just how great we are - to allow people to tell us how great we are!

That is so funny! I had a friend who ALWAYS celebrated her half birthday and I'm pretty sure she still does. I mean like throws herself parties and celebrates with a half cake at work. Way to milk it Hannah!!

So funny! I like the 1/2 cake idea. My boys haven't ever figured out their 1/2 date...yet any way.
