It's beginning to seem like it should be Christmas soon

But it doesn't feel like it at all. It's been in the high 80's to mid 90's here the past few weeks, so getting into the holiday frame of mind has been a little rough. I did manage to get motivated to make my Christmas cards, though. I was sure to take them to our monthly scrapbooking night so I would be sure to receive plenty of praise and adoration as I made them. Nothing like a little gratuitous praise seeking, huh? I definitely felt the love. Thanks, girls for boosting my self esteem! I got them almost finished there, and was able to finish them up yesterday. Here's the final product:

Now all we have left to do is get our family pictures taken, and we're all set.

Watch your mailbox...if you're lucky, you just might get one
!

Love the cards, you are too creative.

Oh and the Donny post, every now and then it will come to mind and I just have to smile. WWDMD You're so getting purple socks for Christmas!

What is the little machine? I love gadgets!

The machine is a xyron. It just puts an adhesive on the back of your paper so you don't have to mess with glue, etc. I wanted a laminator for Christmas last year and my dh got me this instead. It's so much better than just a laminator. You can put in different cartridges like cool laminating, repositionable adhesive, permanent adhesive, magnet, etc. It makes it really easy to stick on ribbon and stuff like that, too.
If I like you, you can use mine!

It's called a punch. I think we're even now on the lack of light-bulb moments today!

And shamefully I admit that I got one of those machines for Christmas ( ehem.....2 years ago ) and it is still in its wrapper thinking someday it will get used. But then I had a couple more kids. lol

Thanks for lighting a fire under me...I think we are doing DVDs this year, but plans might change if I can't get them done.

I'll go over to PP's house to see yours in real life.
