Blue Plate Special

Question:
What do you get when you marinate chicken breast in a little olive oil, rice vinegar, garlic and a little salt and then cook it on your George Forman grill?
Answer: A delicious tasting, somewhat bluish colored main dish that will both please the taste buds and tease the eye.

This was the weirdest thing. All the garlic in the marinade turned blueish/green when I cooked it. PP and I have this thing when we share these kinds of 'made-up' recipes with each other. The title of the recipe is usually 'That Chicken' or 'That Pasta', etc. This one might have to be 'That Blue Chicken!'

*Note: if you biggen the picture (which I don't necessarily recommend), you can see our lovely circa 1970 counter-tops. Note to self: add kitchen counters to the 'someday we'll change it' list!

Oddly enough, they did...maybe that's the key...feed them funky colored food. Besides, it was just the garlic that turned blue, so I scraped it off.

Did you get your grill on a blue light special? I can't believe your chilins' actually ate it! I'm debating asking for the recipe, I might have to serve it in the dark.

I know I'm prego, but I don't think I could have eaten that. BLUE! I've never seen anything like it. I'm glad it was delicious, though. And you are super brave. We would have thrown that away and gone to Taco Bell.

LOL. When my children's are being especially rascally, I put food coloring in whatever and they eat it... I can't, but they will. Kids are so weird.

mmmmmmm good! maybe martha wants the recipe! i don't know about my kids but i don't think my hubby would go for it either! what an awesome family you have! way to go jensen fam!
